Brief Description: Sanding the aft Canopy Skirt goop
I spent some time putting the bottom skin (with the NACA vent installed) back on the right wing...
Then I took off the canopy skirt and set up an area outside with lights, electric sander, sanding pads and sanding blocks - and got to work.
I got it down to a smooth finish by hand, then sprayed on some primer to check it visually and worked it from there. Then I put it back on the canopy frame and looked at it in place. I determined that it was sitting too high in the middle and was somewhat distorting the flow from the canopy line - so I took it down some more. The goop has pin hole which will need to be filled, but I also think I can take the goop down a little flatter, but it is dinner time and I am hungry.
