Brief Description:  Flap Relay troubleshooting

Back from New Orleans, back to work, back to reality, and back in the shop! So we ended the last session (last year) with a non-functioning flap motor, but I did reach out to Ralph, the electron genius. Ralph explained how the schematic I drew up would not work and provided a new, easier-to-read schematic for this novice electron chaser. It makes much more sense, and it took me a while to re-wire the new changes. With the re-wiring done, it was back to setting up the pilot ground wire and flipping the master switch "on" for the test. Unfortunately, as soon as I flipped the master switch, the flap circuit breaker blew. I didn't even get to simulate the up/down switch with the ground wire before the c/b went "pop."

This is getting old - but on the bright side - at least we've got some activity, so that's progress :) I reviewed the schematic again and confirmed that the wires were on the correct relay posts, but I am not yet ready to call Ralph as this must be something I have done or failed to do. Besides, it's too late to be bothering Ralph.
