With the pant halves secured with clecos, I cut two 1" spacers from wood. These spacers will sit on top of the wheel during the alignment process to provide the proper clearance between the top of the tire and the fairing. I then held the front half on the wheel, marked the pant for the first gear leg cut, mated the aft half, and marked it for the cut too. I made the cuts on the left pant using the Dremel in the backyard, where the cut dust can blow freely, it's about 100 degrees and 150% humidity, but that's just an estimate. This process took a few iterations, and I did both the left and right sides.
