The test of the smoke oil pump failed to illuminate the indicator light, and there was no motor sound to tell me I had wired it correctly, so I called that a "Fail." Out came the multi-meter, and the electrical diagnosis began. I checked continuity on the ground and power wires and the switch wire and even moved all the wires to a different relay to confirm it was a good relay. I finally realized that I had wired the relay such that the power feed to move the contactor was on the dead side of the relay, so moving that one wire made it all come to life. I broadened my relay knowledge today, and that was a good thing.
While there, I shortened some of the longer relay wires to make them all the same length and then re-laced them to finish off those wires. I also tidied up the bus wires, which are nearly finished too.
