After lunch, we traded time in the tunnel, and Bob continued securing the wires in the aft end of the fuselage. Bob is a real trooper and volunteered to get in there and work in that confined space. We continued working on the RG400 wires securing and dressing them as they made their way down the right side of the fuselage to the aft end. We also worked on doing the same with the Nav/Strobe and elevator trim wires that ran down the left side to the rear of the fuselage. It is slow going when you work back there in that small space. But by the end of day 1, we had five of six terminations on the RG400, which means we had completely done two antenna wires. Tomorrow we will see if we have enough RG400 for the 4th wire run! Fingers crossed!
Remember that co-pilot stick wire bundle that I thought I would be storing for future use? Well, that's the wires for the co-pilot bose-type (LEMO) headset connections. They end up in front of and above the co-pilot armrest on the right side, so I had AFS pin them but leave them out of the CPC connector. DOH!! It pays to check the schematic.
