Brief Description:  Bob visit - Day 1

With Bob in town, the first thing on the list (after breakfast) was to run the RG400 antenna wire to the antennas. I had forty+ feet of RG400 on hand and had asked Bob to bring his surplus as I knew we would be close with the four runs. Bob brought an extra eight+ feet, and I hope we have enough! We ran the longest run, the ILS/VOR/LOC first, and then began running the shorter runs.

We got three of the wire runs done at least from point to point and contemplated calling fellow builders to check their current RG400 inventory, but we pressed on with a positive frame of mind. Next, we tackled the BNC terminations, and we got three of the four connections cut, labeled, and attached. Bob educated me on proper terminating with the BNC, and I did one, but in the end, Bob was faster, so while he worked on those, I was working on other items.

The subject of running the noisy Nav/Strobe lights near the magnetometer and magnetometer wires also came up, and we enlisted the brain trust of Rob K, Joe M, Greg S, Walt A, Rick M, and Rob. Thanks to most of the brain trust for their input, I decided not to worry about the wires in proximity, but I will keep the noisy wires away from the magnetometer itself.

I got in the belly of the fuse and we ran the nav/strobe wires and elevator trim wires to the aft end. I hooked up some snap bushings while back there.
