Brief Description:  Main Avionics Wiring Harness #1

Good news: I got the main trunk of the wiring harness laid into the cockpit and connected all of the prebuilt harnesses to the Garmin boxes, and everything fit and joined except for the GMC 507 autopilot display. If I remove some lacing, I can see that there will be enough slack to bring the 507 wires around to the left side of the avionics stack, and there will be plenty of room to connect it. Everything is lying in very well, except for the "avionics" stack that I knew would be the challenge area, but I am pleased overall. The other good news is the transponder wiring has plenty of room for a nice gentle entry into the tray, no issues.

Bad news: The battery bus location exacerbates the GTN-650 wire interference in that area, so I tried to route the wires horizontally instead of vertically. To do this, I moved the relay from vertical to horizontal, basically laying it down and attaching it to another hole on the same side of the baggage bulkhead. Running the 650 wires horizontally did solve some issues but created others, so I went back to the vertical orientation. Before doing that, I removed the lacing and freed up more 507 harness slack, and it fits great now. I massaged and worked the wiring harnesses and got them to a point where there is less interference, but the battery bus will need to move - which means more "lightning" holes in that sheet. I may need to make a new one before this is all over.
