Brief Description:  Transponder support #5 a path forward

With the wiring harness in hand, it took the guesswork out of determining the dimensions of the connectors. I was not planning for the distance that the GMC 507 connection would need. The connection enters the box mid-height, and the shell is 2" long, which would have put it in conflict with the transponder.

I determined the transponder will need to slide inward slightly, and in-flight terms, roll to the left so that the right side will clear the 507 connection with minimal tray support modification. To achieve this transponder roll-ability, I made the two top supports longer so that the transponder has more room to move. I will be able to adjust pitch and roll with the angle supports that are riveted to the transponder tray/u-supports

.

I also notched the left top support so it can slide down and clear the top skin.

The transponder connection (and wires) is the one I was so worried about, and it will be no factor at all after sliding the transponder inward to clear the 507 connections.

I started the priming session, but the primer quit spraying, so I will need to get more
