In the past, I have had shop sessions where there was not much visual progress, but a lot of work got done...like when I started with the horizontal stabilizer all clecoed together for the first time. Drilling every other hole and then moving the clecos, the drilling the remaining holes, disassembling, deburring all the holes, ribs and skins and then putting it back together to rivet. From beginning to end may take a few hours - but the starting and ending pictures look identical.
Well, this work session was the opposite. I wasn't happy with the bird's nest of wires coming from the right console and the rather large service loops going to / from the diode were in the way - so I cleaned all of that up. I organized the console wiring and since the other ends of the diode wires have not been terminated, I was able to shorten their runs and make them more aesthetically pleasing. So, functionally, nothing has changed, but it is better organized and looks cleaner and more open - so that was worth it.
