Brief Description:  Antenna Doublers - #1 : Prep work

I was speaking with Greg the other day and mentioned to him that I had a two-person job on the horizon - just to put the idea in his head that I would be needing him at some point. So, Greg, being Greg said, "Well, let's do it this week." :)

So - I need to get the three (3) antenna doublers ready for rivets. Luckily, Bob had already sent me the three doublers, pre-cut AND pre-drilled for the installation posts and the rivets! He just shaved hours off of my build time. Again.

After moving the battery box out of the way, I just needed to mark the location, match drill the holes and then debur the doubler and prep the mating surfaces. The antennas need to be oriented perpendicular with the wing spar to minimize any yaw or additional drag - so using the carpenter square and a piece of angle, I drew a line with the sharpie on the inside of the fuse. Next, I lined up the holes so that I could see the sharpie line thru the pre-drilled holes. I match drilled the holes, deburred all the surfaces and then did the same until all 3 doublers were done.
