Brief Description:  Bus Wiring #1

I spent a long, productive day in the shop today getting a large portion of the electrical power supply at least partially wired up. Starting at the aft with the battery and battery contactor, I ran three of the primary bus supply wires up to the bus locations. The first was run from the un-switched side of the battery contactor, thru the conduit under the cockpit floor, thru the wing spar opening, under the left side console, up the gear tower to the battery bus. The battery bus will power my front and rear baggage lights as well as the “Extra” bus switch (via a relay) which will feed the top two rows of the circuit breakers to power those appliances, which are mostly avionics. Once the battery is installed, this battery bus electrical feed will always be hot (on). The other two wires feed my Main fuse bus #1 and Main fuse bus #2, and they attach at the switched side of the battery contactor and will be energized once the master switch is turned on.

I labeled the wires, slipped on some heat shrink and crimped the three connectors at the battery contactor…that end is done for the bus feeds.
