The backordered GMA 245 Audio Panel has now been received so I was able to remove the tray stack and carefully measure for the needed location of the last tray in the stack. I got it all measured, drilled, and the 4 mini nutplates riveted in position and then put the tray stack back together for (hopefully) the last time. Unfortunately, my careful measuring was not careful enough, or something was off...the audio panel does not slide all the way in as it catches on the bottom part of the panel. Oh well, that what the file is for... I filed down probably 1/16" of the lower panel separator and then it slid right in.
I know when the GTN650Xi arrives it will also need some notches filed out of the bottom and sides of the panel - so this was good practice.
