Brief Description:  Cradle support work

I continued to work on the avionics cradle but as I was preparing to finalize and drill the rivet holes in the angle, I noticed that the spacing was tight and I would have to plan my riveting carefully. It was then that I decided that the ¾” x ¾” angles had a limitation that the 1” x 1” would not. So off to the hardware store to procure some wider angle. I quickly remade the new angle 1” angle pieces based on the “prototype” parts I already had. The cradle floor will be reused so that helps.

As soon as I got the angle parts all measured, drilled and clecoed, I put them up in position on the fuse and decided to swap the long support arms in the front left to right and right to left. This will place the angles on the outside of the cradle frame and will give me more room to run the backup battery wire harness into the battery. The holes matched up well so that was a bonus.
