I started off with a few more test templates and decided to go for it. I took my time, drilled the small pilot hole, then drilled with the unibit and worked the hole with the Dremel and hand file. I am incredibly happy how the oblong hole turned out and the fit of the LEMO plug. It was nerve-wracking knowing that I was drilling into a permanent piece of the fuselage that would take a LOT of work and time to replace if something catastrophic happened, so I am awfully glad it came out so well.
