Brief Description: Antenna Doubler - nutplates, final prep
Bob sent me an assortment of nutplates as I was missing the K1000-3 nutplates to hold the antenna in place. Those arrived today so it was perfect timing to be able to drill, deburr, dimple and rivet the nutplates in place. After the nutplates were installed, I did a test fit and drilled out the antenna hole in the fuselage. It was a little difficult to get to since that area is space-limited, but after drilling a pilot hole with one of my 12" drill bits, I was able to use the unibit and open up the hole from the underside while looking thru and watching from the top.

My other buddy, Rob is in town for a few days, so maybe I can talk him in to taking a break from cleaning out the attic and redecorating my bathrooms long enough to do some riveting!
