Brief Description:  Panel labels - Final draft

I have been looking around at other options and there are limitations to going to a white label with a clear background. Printing companies can't cut the vinyl lettering as small as I need it and I can't print in white ink on the inkjet printer labels. The label maker that I borrowed from Greg has either 1/4" tape or 1/2" tape and one is too small and the other is too large. The 3/8" tape doesn't come in white ink and clear background - so the only other option would be to use the 1/2" tape and use a smaller font with it. Another option would be to repaint the panel a slightly lighter color if the black is too washed out. That might be where I end up, but first I will experiment and see what the black printed labels will look like.

So, I went back to the labels and spent a lot of time working on getting the largest font size I could use, which changed the spacing so all of that had to be re-done. I also removed the boxes around the circuit breaker labels so I could use the extra space for larger font. I also standardized the naming convention so that I didn't have an "ALT-1" and an "ALT-MAIN" - things like that. I also reduced LEFT IGNITION to P-MAG LEFT.

I did all of the printouts on regular paper. It took multiple times before I was satisfied. Tomorrow I will print them on the label stock and see what happens.

Happy Bithday, Dad... sure wish you were here to to do this with me.
