During the LED light install in the forward fuselage some time ago I was blasting the heat gun on the heat shrink and somehow the static line got heated up and deformed. It wasn't too bad, but I knew I wanted to replace the line as it would be easier now then later. I had ordered some more static line from Van's and had been sitting around waiting for a good day to be replaced. Well...today was that day. I pulled out the rear fuselage plywood floor and set it in place and climbed and slithered back there. I had planned on a one-trip job, so I had all the needed tools and zip ties with me but putting the small bit of clear tubing sleeve in-between the "T" and the polypropylene tubing - that was too difficult to do inside the confines of the rear fuse - so I disconnected the T and crawled out to work upright.
Outside the fuse, it was much easier to get the poly tube over the clear tube/T and push it all the way up. Then it was a matter of crawling back in and reattaching the tubing and zip tying it all back together. Glad that's done.
