Brief Description: Check the aileron bellcrank play
I put an old picture that was previously taken as a visual aide - but I have been wondering about the up/down play in the aileron bellcrank assembly and finally measured the amount of play in both wings and sent an email off to Van's support. I recieved a quick response from Sterling:
" Vertical movement of the WD-421 aileron bellcrank on the bushing between the W-823 brackets is not a problem. If you would like to reduce this you can file the ends of the brass bushing allowing the W-823 brackets to close in a little but the measurements you have noted would not be any cause for concern. "
