I really don't know why it takes as long as it does - but when I look back at the finished results - I am always amazed that it took 4.5 hours to do what I did. Oh well, just part of doing something for the first time, I guess. There are many cross calculations and multiple views and iterations of where a certain switch or g-meter should go, will fit, won't interfere with what's next to it, what shows on the outside, what is behind the panel and will I be able to get to it when needed, where will the labels go and will there be room for them, will they be visible, will it look good and feel good when being used, etc., etc.... lot's to think about and trial out...so I guess I do know what takes so much time.
In the end, I finished marking up the left and right-side panels and can now make copies and send them off to Bob for cutting.
