Brief Description: Wing Tip #23 - Light lens install
After doing the final fit and adjustment on the lens - when there was no movement or slop, I marked the drill spot for the lens attach nutplates and then, holding the lens in place drilled both sides of the left wingtip to #40 and clecoed them in place. Then I drilled the holes to #30 and then countersunk the lens holes since the countersink tool is a #30 and I had already tested the depth and had it set up.
Then I drilled the wing tip holes to #19 and fit the nutplate in place and drilled the nutplate holes to #40 and then countersunk those holes. I used the hand countersink tool as the surface is uneven. After the holes were countersunk, I used the pull rivets and installed the nutplates.
I will go back and fill in the pull rivet holes to smooth that out as it will be painted in the end.
