My local EAA Chapter 168 buddy Greg and his daughter Nikki came over to help me out with some more of the two-man rivets. We got the F-802K bulkhead riveted to the floor, caulked the aft corners of the firewall (to keep the oil and fluids from getting into the sealed under-skin area) and then riveted the F-851 forward bottom skins in place.
Nikki was the cleco queen and took care of the clecos and anything else that needed attention. She noticed how the cleco plier handles were sliding off (as they have been for years as I have been meaning to glue them for some time now..) so I gave her the fire barrier and she went to work on making sure those handles never slip again. Handles off – fire barrier squeezed in - handles back on...Thanks Nikki!
