Brief Description: More deconstruction of intercoastal ribs F-802M
With the fresh battery charge on the dremel tool, I was able to cut out the rest of the right intercoastal rib. Then it was on to the smoothing process. I used a couple of different files, a scotchbrite wheel in the cordless drill and scotchbrite pads to get the 90 degree angles rounded and the cuts smoothed out. Then I had to do a test-fit of the gear and see how good it will look sitting in it's permanent spot!
After looking at the clearance between the gear and the trimmed down intercoastal, I think I might drop it some more... the current clearance is about 1/8" and I think a little more would be good.
