Installed my first BNC connector on the RG400. Checked for shorts with the mulitimeter. Just followed EAA hints for homebuilders video and it went well the very first attempt. Permanently installed the pitot tube base to the front spar and torque-sealed the nuts. Tested hole sizes in 1/8 plywood for 3/16 grommets to support the xpndr cable. Going to work perfectly. Made a dummy 3/8 hole in a 2x4 and fit some vinyl tubing into it for a simulated pass-thru on the spar. I think that will work nicely as well.
