Practiced a couple of welds on some scrap tubing and sheeting then welded the offset arm to the bushing to complete the horn. I used a piece of safety wire strung between the arm's bolt hole and the bushing's bolt hole to maintain the 65deg offset angle during welding. It turned out very well. I'm glad I practiced first. I am not going to drill the holes for the AN3 bolts throught the trim shafts until I have determined which side of the horizontal stab is "up". This requires putting it on the fuselage and measuring. These plans built versions used the horizontal stab to determine the placement of the fuselage bushings during the initial weld-up so there can be a bit of variation between sides regarding the stab position.
