Set up my Dremel with a 60 grit drum using the sanding/grinding attachment. I clamped it to the mdf table for stability and set it to the lowest rpm (5k). So far it takes 30-45 minutes per rib depending on how many gussets are overhanging the capstrip. I already had the Dremel and sanding drums from previous hobby stuff. This set up is quiet compared to most of my other powered tools so that's a bonus. Doesn't fling sawdust all over either. Most of it stays within a couple feet of the work station.
I peeled apart two rib tails to check the glue joint integrity on the upper ribs. Pretty darn good! Nothing but wood gave way.
