Brief Description:  Baffles

The left side inlet has been quite a project, lots of modifications with the filter. With the snorkel fitted, it took quite a bit of modifying the angles to the snorkel, lots of swearing. The filter slips into the front and has plates with platenuts riveted to the snorkel angles, to hold the filter and snorkel up to the baffles. If I want to take the snorkel off the baffles it has to be screwed on (hence the platenuts). I made a new square front out of aluminium where the filter slips into and then made 3 plates which clamp down on top, like I said this took quite a while. I primed and then painted the baffle, riveted this on and then started to fibreglass around the angles of the snorkel. I dont want any air slipping down the sides, so I am glassing around this part.
