Brief Description:  Inspection Cover's

When I was checking out other builder's web sights, I came across one where a builder put a window in the wing inspection cover and I thought what a great idea. Every inspection it will be possible to check bellcrank fittings. So having obtained a piece of flexible perspex I went to another mate, who is a cabinet maker, and has a wonderful CNC machine. First of all I cut a 90mm round hole into the two aluminium covers (one for each wing) and then cut a round 110mm hole from the perspex, using the CNC machine I milled down the outside of the perspex, leaving a slighly raised 90mm hole so the perspex was flush with the thickness of the inspection plate. Turned out very nice. Next step is to cut out a ring and rivet on some platenuts so I can mount the perspex window securely. Thus having the perspex sandwiched between an aluminium ring and the inspection cover, screwed down with platenuts.
