After drilling out the platenuts which held the original position lights I made up a batch of resin and glass fibre to fill in the hole. Once hard it was sanded back flat and then I smeared over a small amount of body filler till it was smooth. Sanded the piece of fibreglass I layed over the filled rib angle, sprayed some filler primer over this and sanded again, came out very nice. I also want to stiffen the tips a bit more so I cut six lengths of 1/4 inch nylon rope (three per side), soaked these in resin and glassed over the rope. Once hardened it definately made a difference in the wingtip. Painted the landing light base plate with white enamel paint and the mounts underneath as well. One wingtip nearly finished, one to go.
