The plans call for the aircraft to lifted off it's wheels so the correct alignment can be made with both wheel pants. As a kid I made plenty of model planes and suspended them from my bedroom roof, seems quite strange I'm doing the same again but with a real aircraft. Once suspended and levelled, I used a plumb bob from the rear of the plane, front and sides, fitted the right side wheel pant and made sure the left was in the same direction and height, drilled this and removed both so I can reinforce inside the pant where it bolts onto the wheel. Also fitted the disc brakes and ordered braided brake hose.
