Brief Description: Bonding the canopy to the frame
Applied Sikeflex 295UV to the frame and to the plexi. Mated the two parts together and lined them up properly. Installed the various spacers, varying from .125" to .38" depending on location. Clamped in place and added more Sikaflex. Installed 2 wooden spacer to insure the distance would be correct once installed. Next day I removed the plastic spacers and prepped the voids with 209-D primer and after 2 hours I filled the void with 295UV. I used stir sticks to form a nice fillet for the bonding joint. On the 3rd day I removed and clamps and wooden spacers and did a test fir on the fuselage. Perfect fit! :)
