Brief Description:  Purging of lubrication system

Pride goes before fall! I think I was a bit too quick to claim that the oil system was an easy part of the job. The motor installation which was almost complete, nice and tidy is now loose and untidy, again I have spent almost two weeks trying to confirm an acceptable oil circulation in the engine. This is a must before staring the engine. So, I followed Rotax Service Instructions (SI), section 3.1 "purging of lubrication system" (SI-912-018R1) but I received no indication of any increase in pressure from the pressure sensor to the pressure gauge, even after up to100 turns of the temporary wooden propeller. What's the proplem? Is it
1) a bad oil pump in the new engine? Not likely, but must be checked.
2) a bad wiring between the gauge and the oil pressure sensor? Not unlikely, must be checked.
3) a bad oil pressure sensor? Not likely in a new engine, but must be checked.
4) a bad connector between the sensor and the wiring? Not unlikely as I made it myself. Must be
checked.
I haven't reached any final conclusion yet but so far I have confirmed that
1) There is nothing wrong with the oil pressure/circulation. This was confirmed by removing the electronic oil pressure sensor (P/N 456180) and adding an external, mechanicall pressure gauge. This device showed a rapid increase in oil pressure as soon as the propeller was turned and a maximum of 3.5 bars which was reached afters approx 20 turns of the prop. That's fine
2)The wire that should deliver 12V to the sensor, is intact and does deliver the voltage - that's confirmed. The other wire is also intact all the way from the sensor to the gauge (including the multi-connector) and should be able to pick up and deliver the signal (4-20 mA). That's also confirmed.
3) About the sensor - When I isolated the pressure sensor and delivered 12V directly to pin B then I was able to pick up approx 4 mA on the multimeter directly from pin C against common ground, as claimed. That's good indicating nothing wrong with the sensor.
4) About the connector. TO BE CONTINUE
