Brief Description:  Pedal and brakes

Be sure to read the manual carefully and look at all pictures. Not only in the manual itself but also look at the pictures in the spare parts catalougue. I didn't so after installation of the vertical brake pumps the attitude of the left and right pedals were very different with the left one leaning much too much forward. This was very evident in a right hand turn and I was afraid that it would be impossible to stear without pushing the brakes at the same time. The same difference in pedal attitude was also seen on the passenger side. The reason for this difference in pedal attitude, I tought, was due to the different levels of attachment of the lower position of the brake pumps. The lower position of the left brake pump is positioned 6 cm over the floor while the same part of the right brake is positioned 4 cm over the floor. This means that the left brake will be 2 cm closer to the pedal and will not be able to bend sufficiently backwards. So, what to do?
Well the remedy is simple. It turned out taht I had inverted the position of the left and right pedals The left pedal must stay rearward and the right one forward, Icp told me.
Please observe that if you are planning to have a carpet on the floor you better install that BEFORE you install the pedal system. Likewise, it is better to install the cabin heating system before the pedal system.
