After gooping for days on end, it was a relief to return to dry pursuits. I spent some time working on the cables that run from the control column to the stabilitor.
Picture 1 shows the bracket where the two pulleys go. I have inserted a bushing which prevents the cables from jumping from pulley to pulley. Not much space to bolt it on. More superglue came in handy for the washer.
Picture 2 shows the pulleys in place. Not too easy, as the first time the cables crossed behind the pulleys. I had to remove everything and start again, after figuring out how to keep the cables aligned. This is probably a task that would work better with the fuselage right-way-up. At least gravity would not be working against you. Another fun job, inserting washers and bolts against that gravity...
I'm pleased I had previously left strings in place to pull the forward cables back towards the centre section, where they connect to the aft cables.
