Brief Description:  Still tanking

Here the plans called for the fuel filler flange to be traced on the top of the tank. I drew the outside perimeter, followed by the perimeter of the inside.

Obviously the requirement was to cut out the inner circle so that fuel can pass into the tank. So obvious, in fact, that I started to cut the outside circle with a dremel. Wrong! What a stoopid mistake. See Picture 1.

I confessed to Tim, and his only worry was whether I would end up with a leaky tank. Not a concern for me. I stuffed "goop" inside and out, to cover my mistake. I am still expecting to find leaks, but not here.

Picture 2 shows two clips that hold the fuel return pipe to the ceiling of the tank.

Having boobed big time on the tank, I laid it aside, and wired up a 9-pin DSUB female plug between the rudder pedals. This is to connect the laptop to update the Dynon. 21st century - maintenance is all software-related.
