We have visitors expected at 12:00 today, and others for the whole of the weekend, so I am not expecteding to get much work done, nor any flying.
In fact I spent a couple of hours preparing the autopilot attach brackets. I had ordered these to be fitted now, in case I eventually spring for the autopilot option. These (the brackets) cost $20, but I understand are now included in the base kit.
Prep of the parts was straightforward, but some rivets need to be removed to attach them. Three seat rib rivets required a right-angled drill and short drill bits (not included in the inventory of required tools). I had purchased an Avery tool for this which worked fine. I now just need to remove a piece of metal from a seat rib with a junior hacksaw blade, prime the parts, and rivet 'em in. Easy job for Monday.
