Brief Description: Start assembly of flap mechanism
After a big hunt I managed to find a missing piece of tube which goes inside the flap handle. Unfortunately this now means I'll have to get the primer stuff out again.
Anyway, I managed to get some prep work done with the bits I had previously primed.
Picture 1 shows a Fork Assembly that goes inside the flap handle - part of the mechanism to select multiple flap positions. The unpainted tube attaches to this and goes up to the push button at the top of the flap handle.
Picture 2 shows the Flap Detent Bracket (end on) attached to bracket angles and in turn to a plate. This beefy assembly bolts to the fuselage adjacent to the seats. I've had to get the squeezer out to put some solid rivets in here - almost forgotten how to do this ;-)
