Brief Description:  Odds and Sods

I don't have help available to lift the Rotax out of it's packing crate, so I spent the day catching up on some leftover tasks. No pictures to show for it though.

First task was to reverse the flaperon bolts, which someone had discovered cause problems if/when you install the autopilot servo. A horrid job, grovelling around in the back of the plane.

I also installed two little rudder pedal covers that go at the top of the central tunnel under the panel. A horrid job too, grovelling around in the front of the plane. See why I have been procrastinating?

An easier and more satisfying job was installing the seat belts.

I also fitted the tunnel cover under the flap lever. Quite difficult getting some of the screws into the nutplates. A little judicious help from a "tap" did the trick. I'm not really happy with the flap mechanism, it rubs slightly. I think I will need to redo a couple of parts inside the flap tube to fix it, but this may wait until post-live!

Finally some more wretched sanding...
