Brief Description:  Brake tube work

It had been a while since I last worked on aluminium tube, so I gave myself a refresher on tube flaring and bending with some scrap I had to hand.

It took me an age to prepare and fit the port tube. As you can see in Picture 1 there's a complex bend around the undercarriage leg, which took me a while to get my head around.

Picture 2 shows the completed tube installed and tie-wrapped to the rear of the leg.

Picture 3 shows where it attaches to the undercarriage bracket. The flexible tube from the brake pedals fits the other side. I had previously thought I had been short-shipped two 45 degree unions so I had ordered these from Vans. Turns out I had put these on the rear end of the flexible tubes when I was doing the rudder work. Again I must have second guessed the plans, because there was no instruction to fit them. So now I have two spare parts. Better that, than shortages.
