Brief Description:  Complete the wheel work

Time to move on. I removed the main wheels and checked for toe-in, toe-out. There was none (certainly none at this weight), so no shimming required at this stage. Pictures 1 and 2 show a taut string between the alignment blocks.

After checking, I put the wheels back on and then bolted on the brake units.

Next job was to adjust the breakout force required to laterally move the nosewheel. This is done with a spring balance. Two concave-shaped washers are tightened together until it requires 26 pounds of lateral force at the axle to move the wheel. Seems very high to me, but the adjustment is straightforward.
