Brief Description:  More work on the Firewall Upper

I went flying on Friday - once again, blue sky, visibility forever, and not a breath of wind. However, many places had fog, so caution was required. Fortunately Perth is at 400 feet, and therefore above the fog on this occason.

No plane building this weekend, so roll forward to Monday.

I was unsure what to do about painting stuff forward of the firewall. I had, however, noted that someone else had started to paint stuff in "engine enamel". A trip to Halfords over the weekend equipped me with a rattle-can of matt black high temperature paint. After pondering for a while, I decided to remove the Antenna Shelf and paint it. Ten drilled-out rivets later, the shelf was back in the spray booth ready for painting.

Picture 1 shows the Antenna Shelf back in place on the firewall, and black this time.

Picture 2 shows the Firewall Upper attached to the Firewall Shelf. More black guck to ensure an airtight seal.

Picture 3 shows the starboard Forward Skin Stiffener. The fuselage is on its side, so imagine this rotated through 90 degrees.
