With the fuselage skins in place I could complete the assembly of the painted parts for the little doors. I thought it would be difficult to assemble the parts because a couple of small translucent nylon washers have to be installed between the upper and lower brackets. However, this turned out to be quite easy.
I had read somewhere that Avery sells little knobs to make it easier to "work" these doors. I'll take a look sometime.
Picture 1 is from the outside, with the door open.
Picture 2 is taken from inside the cockpit. It looks as if the door is painted white, but that's just the light streaming in (as opposed to air!).
