Final step before rushing off to a Strut Meeting was to rivet the roll bar to the bases. I was expecting difficulty here but the rivets popped straight in. It seems that rivets go in more easily when there's a good thickness of material to keep them straight.
Picture 1 shows the bar clecoed in place. The reward for previously assembling it in situ was that this just popped on to the bases, with no difficulty at all.
Picture 2 shows the riveting complete.
Picture 3 shows the Support Frames riveted on. I could not find a specific instruction to rivet these on, but the picture in Figure 1 on Page 24-03 shows them in place. In fact I subsequently found they are attached on Page 24-06. I noted that I should have used LP 4-4 rivets, so more work to be done here!
