Brief Description:  Attach wing tip ribs

There are two ribs, fore and aft. The aft rib just fits "out of the box". Other web site contributors claim that you MUST trim the rear spar assembly. I didn't need to, though I had previously radiused the corners, so maybe that made the difference. You must note, however, that the flange of the tip rib goes between the spar and the skin. See picture 1.

Picture 2 shows the foreward rib. This is the one that has cause some folk lots of grief. It has to be fluted quite aggressively to conform with the curved edge of the forward skin. You can see the flutes in the bottom flange. I fluted top and bottom, both on the straight section (gently), and on curved section. The front part has been notched so can easily be persuaded to fit the contour of the skin.

I put clecoes in every other hole. Some of the rivets were somewhat tough to insert, particularly the two just to the rear of the notched section. However, for me this wasn't as bad as other people indicated it would be.

A long day (10 hours), ending in a high note. Just the close-out to do now, and the first wing will be finished.
