Brief Description:  Rivet the inboard top skin

The top skins have a J-shaped leading edge for stiffening. These slot into holes in the wing nose ribs, just ahead of the point where the leading edge (bottom) skins will overlap the top skins. Again most rivets were relatively easy to insert. Note the cleco square at the top right of the first picture. This is where the wing walkway is. A thick Wing Walk Doubler goes over the top here, and both layers are riveted together, later. The wing walk only extends from the leading edge to the main spar, so passengers stepping on the wing behind the spar will get shot. You have been warned!

I have just realised that the top skins overlap the rear spar by a couple of inches. So the total wing chord (without flaperons installed), is 50 inches, not 48 inches. This means that the wings definitely won't fit my wing stand, unless I remove the upper deck and find something else to do with the tailcone. This is already just a couple inches from the roof, so I cannot just raise it a few inches. Serves me right for not adequately studying the plans before building.
