Brief Description: Modifying the top of the tail fin
Happy birthday to me!
I started by finishing off the tail parts so that these can be painted.
I marked paint lines on the tailplane until I was happy.
I riveted the cap on the rudder.
And I modified the cap on top of the tail fit. This should just be riveted on, but I wanted it to be removeable for inspection, and as a possible future location for a video camera. Picture 1 shows the modified result. Nutplates all round, so that the top can come off. I guess I'll need to order more screws to secure this.
I placed an order with Gloster Air Parts for a selection of screws, bolts and washers, to replace stuff lost over a year's labour. Should be here tomorrow, they provide a great service.
