Brief Description:  Second flight

Dai was able to accommodate my request to squeeze in a flight the day before I went off for two weeks holiday in Malta.

The plane was now two-up, with fairly full tanks, but no baggage, so perhaps 100 lbs below gross.

I climbed to 3000 feet or so, at an average climb of 890 fpm, the tried some steep turns, one way at 60 degrees, and the other at 75 degrees pulling 2.6 G. The wings stayed on, and so did the wing spar light. This obviously needs further adjustment.

I repeated the series of stalls, two-up, this time speeds ranged between 45 and 40 knots, followed by a cruise at 5000 rpm, this time averaging 113 knots at 5000 rpm resulted in a fuel flow of 16 lph. 122 knots at 5600 rpm resulted in a fuel flow of 22 lph, at 4000 ft, at 25 degrees C.

Three circuits (one low-level) resulted in touchdown speeds ranging from 43 to 46 knots.

EGT and CHT were as for the previous flight.

Again, I whipped the cowling off after landing, and nothing untoward showed itself. I will have to attend to the spar pin warning sensors though.

I can now go on holiday a happy boy!
