Brief Description: Wing Tip, Seats, Fire Extinguisher
|
|
Riveted on the inner rib, then preped and riveted on the wing tip attachment platenuts. Dimpled the wing, and then attached the wing tip with a few screws. Done with the wing tips, and tips in general. Yesterday, my seats came in! They look awesome. The carpet came as well, and fits great. I had to try out the seats, so I put one in. Very nice. The cockpit is smaller than I imagined, with the seats in, and full aileron stick travel is a little limited to the right, because of my meaty leg. But I think it will be fine. If I don't like the console, I can take it out later. It looks great, and provides a perfect height armrest for the throttle. Anyway, while sitting in the seats, I had to figure out a place to install the fire extinguisher. I finally settled on the baggage compartment, on the passenger side flap housing cover, on the top. I think it's out of the way of the baggage, but still provides access from the pilot side if I need to get it by myself, while flying. I drilled and attached the bracket with 3 AN-3 bolts, but I need to get one more on my next order. Lastly, I installed the pilot side crotch strap, and seat belts. I laid the shoulder harnesses in, just to see how it all looks. Excellent.
