Brief Description:  Wing Tips

Drilled the right wing tip attachment holes to final size, andt then removed the tip and drilled, countersunk and riveted in the right wing tip middle rib. Then I drilled the platenuts, and deburred and riveted those in. Then I attached the tip with a few of the screws, and adjusted the aileron to it's final location, exactly lined up with the tip. Only had to move it one turn of the aileron attachment clevis. Then I trimmed the left wing tip. Then I removed the aileron alignment template from the right wing, and installed it into the left wing. Then I replaced the bolt in the right wing bellcrank, but didn't tighten it down. I'm not sure if that will be on for good, as the little hole where the pushrod for the aileron might need some enlargement, and that won't be possible with the pushod in place. Also, the aileron is going to be removed for moving to the airport, so the pushrod will probably come out. But, it's set to the right length, and the jam nuts tightened. Then I put the aileron alignment template into the left wing, and attached the left aileron, and got it aligned. Next time, I'll start attaching the tip. On a side note, downloaded the Garmin GNS 430W computer simulator, and played with it a little last night. It will be an excellent learning tool.
