Brief Description: Throttle Quadrant

Removed all the empenage parts and put them away.... so sad. It was cool to have them on there, but easier to work with the tail off. I adjusted the bearings on the rudder, to get them to line up better. I moved the bottom one in a little and the top one out a little. I let the middle one stay the same. I deburred all the holes I had drilled in the tail section, and each part. Then I deburred the bracket and the spacers, and prepped them for primer, but it was too cold today. Next I started modifying the center console for the 3 lever quadrant. I first removed the inside section that holds the cables, and replaced it with a 3 holer. Then I riveted that in, and started enlarging the hole in the top for the actual quadrant face. Then, while waiting for my dremmel to cool, I made the spacers. Still waiting, I moved on to the rudder stop. I clamped it in place and drilled the holes. Then I fabricated one spacer, and installed the bolt to check the fit. Nice, so I ordered some more bolts to fit from Spruce. I also ordered some screws for the top antenna, and messed around a bit with the location of that on the turtle deck. I'll have to fabricate a doubler for that and get that installed in the rear of the plane. That won't be so much fun, I don't think.
