Brief Description:  Aft Skirt, Brake Resevoir

Removed Skirt from the "mold" and cut the edges off and sanded real good. It came out great. It's thinner than the first skirt, and much smoother. It fits over the center channel real well. I think the difference was stretching the duct tap over the gap, to get a real tight fit. I gave it three layers of cloth on each side, and a final layer over the center section going about halfway down each side. After cleaning up, I installed the Brake Resevoir. I used two washers between the resevoir and the firewall to get the proper offset. It's always good to attach parts to the airplane and use up some hardware. Later in the day, I spent an hour removing hardware!!!! I'm going to install my battery in the standard Van's location, forward of the firewall, so I have to remove the battery mount, contactors and ANL fuse holders in the tail. I removed everything except the battery mount and the wires leading forward. Plane just got lighter. Again, best not to think about the wasted man hours and $ on the fat wire, extra ANL holders and battery contactor, not to mention the PC625 that I won't be using. Oh well, water under the bridge.... Oh yeah, the place where I installed the main battery pass through and ANL fuse holder on the firewall.... right where the battery goes, so those will have to be relocated as well. The pass through will be used for the main ship's power to the VP-100, so that will get used.
